Education
Learning about our faith and the faith of others is an extremely important element of our Catholic faith. The educational aspect of each meeting is always enlightening as we strive to offer new and creative ways of looking at the Bible. Many times the information is new to both the leaders of the meeting as well as community members. Meeting topics have included "Who is Cardinal John Henry Newman?," "Sermon on the Mount," and "Pentecost," among others.
Educating each other is made fun with the Newman Community as we share our different perspectives and learn from the experiences of other members. Sharing our knowledge is one of the primary ways in which we learn and mature as a community. Education is the underlying theme of all that we do as a community and we find a way to incorporate this element into each meeting and outside event. We learn and grow in faith with each other and we continually strive for a better understanding of our faith as a whole. “Give instruction to a wise man and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man and he will increase in learning”
