Worship
There is a multitude of ways to worship the Lord and to show our gratitude to Him for all that He has done. As a community of believers, we use many different forms of worship throughout the year; song, retreats, prayer, meetings, and weekly Mass are all ways that we praise God.
There are two retreats held during the year that are the pinnacle of our worship events. These retreats take place during Fall and Spring semesters. Each event happens over a weekend, and takes place in a retreat house outside of Athens. These retreats are an opportunity for Newman members to enrich their relationships with God, learn more about each other, and take a break from the hectic campus environment. Retreats incorporate many types of worship, often including Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, praying the rosary, praise and worship services, and small prayer group time. Glorifying God is an important aspect of Newman and our lives outside of Newman. Likewise, all meetings and outside events incorporate worship activities of some sort. |
“I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever"
